Grand Theft Auto VI was initially expected on May 26, 2026, a date announced by Rockstar Games on May 2, 2025 following an earlier delay from a fall 2025 target.
In November 2025, Rockstar Games announced a second delay, setting the new release date to Thursday, November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar apologized for the additional wait, stating the extra months would allow the game to be finished with the level of polish players expect.
Pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026, with two editions available: a standard edition at $79.99 and an Ultimate Edition at $99.99 including exclusive additional content.
